Gaolbird
In an effort to make art in all forms more accessible, my local coffee and entertainment hub begun a series of exhibitions from local artists. Each artist launched a viewing evening and exhibited for a month. I shared a mush mash of personal work from paintings to ink and pencil sketches……as well as some original client work illustration. I also lugged a ton of ivy in, for creepy woodland ambience. I called the show Gaolbird as much of my sketchbook work at that point was following themes of freedom, whether that be from the cages of our minds and bodies as well as the mythologies we compose to keep ourselves contained. Lots of birds, sad looking ladies and good old symbology. My faves.
