Paper Cut

A time lapse via Procreate and motionleap video of ‘Paper Cut’, one of a few concept illustrations I’m working on for a book. The illustrations explore the gradual demolishing of a paper dream world as seen through the eyes of a child. balancing on the verge of realization, magical stories of childhood become tenuous and begin to unravel as the antagonist struggles to leave her innocence.
